It's hard to believe it's been an entire year ago
that I gave birth to my Blogging Baby ~
During that time, She's grown, She's flourished, and She's thriving!
It was a proud day for me, Her Birthday last August. Lots of love and planning for that day, all the excitement of picking out that perfect name, getting the "nursery" of travel pictures organized and ready for her to use ~ past and present, all at her disposal.
Good friends (Karen) who prodded me (and even pushed a little!) to encourage adding this new member of the family to our already happy home; and (Jason) who allowed me to skip the entire (intimidating) learning curve by providing me with a mock-up template, all ready to lock and load. I would probably still be just contemplating the idea without the pair of you......
Since then I've proudly watched her as she learned to crawl; then took her first baby steps in Spain; then as she has continued to mature -- zipping happily all about the globe, collecting her most recent passport stamps from Ecuador and Peru ~ including a special stamp from Machu Picchu.
My hope is that you are enjoying her, too. My intent in creating this travel blog is that you are entertained by the stories, inspired by the photos of far-away places, and educated by the cultural experiences, all the things that we are amazed at, have gazed in wonder at, and all that we have learned along the way.
It would appear that you agree ~ that you are interested, engaged, and that you believe in My Passport Envy Baby. At least that's what your 15,750 page views on the blog site (so far) tells me.
I so appreciate that.
It means so much to know that My Baby and me have over 200,000 page views on Google +. 205,929 page views, to be exact.
It has been so rewarding for me to note that, without manipulating the numbers, just true and honest feedback, that we have this kind of following ~ that this many people are interested in where me & My Baby are, where we are going, and what new and fascinating things we see and and do along the way.
I did not start this travel blog because I needed a way to make money. We're retired, Mr. C and me, so I don't need to look for a new job.
But I do need to have a voice. My Baby has given me that voice.
It's a voice for where we go, what we see, what we experience there, where we stay, what we eat, what we do......
Such a powerful voice.
I really (truly) love My Baby. The Blog. She's as wonderful and beautiful as any other baby I've birthed.......(Love you Travis and Trevor!) Just sayin'........
Keep traveling Sherrie! I look forward to your next adventure.
