On our "Island Loop" today, we stopped somewhere new: Dean's Drive-In, in the town of Kaneohe, who's claim to fame is that they were featured on Guy Fieri's show, "Diners, Drive-In's & Dives" ~~ and who's autographed poster is proudly displayed as the trophy to prove it.
I loved the motto: "Local boy, local food".
But I especially loved the sign posting their hours of operation ~ it's truly Hawaiian ~ Since the photo is poor, let me repeat it here for easier reading ~
HAWAIIAN KINE TIME HOURS:

Open: 11:00am
Sometimes 10:00am

Sometimes 6:00pm
Mostly 4:00pm or 5:00pm

This sums up Hawaii philosophy better than anything I've seen so far. Why on earth would you go to work if the surf's up?!? Especially if you "No Like Work" !!!
